Biography
Laura Prepon was born and raised in Watchung, New
Jersey, the youngest of five children in a family of
Jewish and Irish Catholic descent. She is 5 feet 10
inches tall.
Prepon's acting experience was limited prior to her audition
for That '70's Show.
Laura's first job was a 1995 television commercial for MCI.
In 1996 Laura Prepon studied drama with
acting teacher Caroline Thomas at Thomas' Total Theatre
Lab. In September 1997, she premiered as Chloe on an
Levi Strauss-developed show called They Go On, an
Internet-based soap opera.
Prior to getting the role on That '70s Show, Laura Prepon also
spent some time as a model in Paris, Milan, and Brazil.
Laura Prepon had a voice cameo role as a marine on Halo
2, released in 2004.
Laura Prepon's enthusiasm for poker led to her role as
an executive producer of E! Hollywood Hold'em. She also
hosted the program's first game.
Laura Prepon's upcoming movie Karla has caused a substantial
stir in Canada. Karla is based on the true story of
Canadian serial killers Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo.
Members of the government of Ontario have called for a
boycott of the movie and a petition is currently
circulating Canada encouraging citizens to boycott the
movie as well.
